On January 28 2015, Chief Senate Sponsor Terry Link filed Senate Bill 117 (SB117) that would authorize the State of Illinois to issue special license plates to immediate family members of active duty armed forces members, thus enabling them to honor both their active duty family member and themselves. In honor and resilience, military family members serve their country by enduring major sacrifices during the active deployment of their loved ones and upon their return.
